Shake the Gates EP

Talley released the “lushly produced and introspective” 3-song EP Shake the Gates, in July, 2012.

Basic tracks were recorded and produced by Andy Sharp at Scharf-Sharp Farms in Austin, Texas. Sharp’s previous credits include engineering and production assistance for Sheryl Crow and Spoon. The drumming of Austin’s Chris Searles – formerly with Shawn Colvin and Alejandro Escovedo – is a solid, steady highlight of each track.

Production, mixing and overdubs were completed in Fayetteville, Arkansas, by Talley's brother and former band mate, Mark Summerlin, previously guitarist, backing vocalist, and music director for Grammy Award-winning artist Seal. Brother Paul, also previously with Seal, added backing vocals and keyboards to the EP as well.

Alright With You Single

“Alright With You" was Talley Summerlin's first release as a solo artist since his band, BE, dissolved in 2002. It was released as a digital single in January 2011. Andy Sharp of Scharf-Sharp Farms in Austin, Texas, recorded, engineered and mixed the track. Talley's brother, Mark, contributed additional guitars. Chris Searles played drums.

Thistupidream

Talley was once lead singer and lyricist of a band called BE. They recorded six critically-acclaimed DIY albums of modern rock music from 1989 to 2002.
